Shared Ownership- improvements to hme are you allowed?

Hi

Sorry if this is not the correct thread.

Im buying a hse through SO with DCC. I need to do a bit of upgrading ie bathroom etc and Im looking at building a small kitchen extension (no pp needed) at rear.

Do I have to notify DCC or get approval for the extn?
How will this affect the agreement ie. when I want to buy them out?
