Serious Illness & Travel Insurance

My daughter (an adult in her own right) is studying in England and I want to take out a serious illness and travel insurance for her (combined or seperate). Has anyone ever taken out insurance for someone living in another state - or does this matter?

Where is the best place to look for quotes?

Students union should be able to help. there is a difference between trael insurance and serious illness though. Do you really want the serious illness or are you simply worrited that she may incur a serious illness and need repatriation?

Thanks, never thought of the Students Union and yes the serious illness has more to do with her having to be repatriated.

The travel insurance should provide for repatriation, or treatment in a quality facility. I do not think you need the serious illness cover.
