Hi,

I need to pay someone in Northern Ireland over 3,000Stg and would like the boards opinion on the best way to do this?

• Cash
• Bank Transfer
• Draft

Credit Card is not an option

Best as in secure, can transfer by next Friday and cheapest

Go to the Bank in morning and get a Sterling Bank Draft and post it

Are you sure that posting a draft is a good/secure idea?

Why do you ask that ?? If it is a crossed draft it would only be able to be used by the Payee.

Surely a bank transfer is the only way to go in this day and age?

Driving up with a cheque? Posting a cheque? Crossed drafts in the post? Do people really still do this kind of thing?

(btw in case you think I'm just having fun, I recently bought a car in NI - just transferred the £££ up there by EFT, couldn't have been any easier)

Are you sure that this is sufficient protection against unauthorised cashing of the draft?
