Selling Shares with a Price Limit

I sold some shares yesterday via local bank branch. I set a price limit just below the actual value of the share at that time. Very shortly after this the share price dropped below my limit and dropped furthur today. It is therefore likely my shares were not actually sold. My sale confirmation form says Limit Orders are generally held for one week. My concern is will the share certificate be returned to me or will they sell at actual price at end of week if I don't intervene?

The shares should not sell for less than the limit price that you set. If in doubt get onto the broker and clarify the terms (e.g. good for the day/week/til cancelled etc.) of the limit order and cancel it if necessary.
