selling from plans before house is completed

I hope someone can help me. I recently purchased a 2 bed apt of the plans and it is coming close to closing the deal. My question, is it possible to sell the apt before it actually becomes my home. Our solicitor said that it was illegal up until about a year ago but the government changed the law and now it is ok. What sort of cgt would I be liable for. If I manage to find a buyer brfore I buy it off the builder would I be liable for any stamp duty.

Yes, in theory - but you will probably find that there is a prohibition in your Contract with the builder.
