Hi Hope Someone Can Help.i Am Trying To Sell My House Which I Bought Out From Council Last Year,i Took Over This House From My Father When He Passed Away,problem Is I Have To Get Consent To Sale From Council Because Of A 25yr Clause ,we Have Been Buying This Property Since 1989.i Have A Buyer That I Do Not Think Will Fill In This Consent To Sale Form As It Is Too Invasive ,does Anyone Know How I Can Get Rid Of This Burden Held By Local Authority So I Can Sell To Who Ever I Want.

I bought a house that had such a section on it. They way it worked is that the seller had to get consent from the council to sell it and we independantly had to get consent from the council to buy it. There is no way around this getting consent. But we didn't find it invasive, the form more or less ensures that you intend to live in there and that you're not an investor.
