On such account I recently had to sell some shares and I am now calculating the Capital Gain Tax on this operation (I am crystallising some losses at the same time from part of the shares I sold). I have a couple of queries based on this webpage though: https://www.fool.com/knowledge-center/can-i-sell-and-buy-shares-in-the-same-stock-within.aspx Does the advice on the mentioned webpage apply only for US Shares? Or have we got a similar rule for Irish and European Shares? FYI I am aware of the FIFO practice when selling same share which I bought in different times. Your opinions are very welcome please as I am getting confused on this subject when I look into the revenue.ie website. Thank you very much!
