We agreed a date of next Monday to close sale of our new house - The buyers of my house are in agreement with this date . All 3 solicitors agreed this date - Now we learn that the vendors of our house want another week.
Can they do this ?
Yes - its not nice, it screws everyone up but heck! do they care?
Not a lot you can do about it except ask nicely if they could stick with the date because of major hassle with (a) movers (b) small children and (b) taking time off work.
