Self-employed: Amounts on which PAYE, PRSI & Income Levy charged

Hello,

I'm self-employed since the start of 2010. Am I correct in thinking that the following taxes are levied on the following amounts?

  • PAYE: payable on the net profit from my trade, after pension contributions
  • PRSI: payable on my gross income, after pension contributions
  • Income Levy: payable on gross income, pension contributions not allowable

Any help would be appreciated! thanks
