HI Everyone

i got a few quotes for self build insurance crazy at 2300 but i have heard from a few ppl now you dont need this. 2 people have told me they have only spend a couple of hundred. can anyone give me advice on what is really necessary? one person got builders cover for the year at 350 hoping to start this friday so I really have to get on it thank you in advance.
 
Make sure you don't confuse a building under course of construction policy, that covers the shell of the building against fire (& possibly storm) damage and a liability policy that covers the workmen building your house, who are basically your employees if anything happens them whilst they are working on your house. A reputable broker should have access to a couple of schemes that cover this type of risk, shop around and you should get a better quotation.
