Can someone with a self admin pension borrow on an interest only basis to purchase property once the property is given as security and the bank is happy to take same on the LTV etc or does the bank require access to the pension scheme for monitoring purposes to ensure the value has not deteriorated. Also, if a transaction is being done this way, is the borrowing in the name of the individual or the name of the individuals pension scheme and must the property be puchased in the name of the pension scheme ie the scheme/trust owns it as opposed to the individual?

The borrowing by a self-admin trust cannot be interest only, must be repayment mortgage and max term is 15 years...yes the trust must own the property if it is being bought by a self-admin trust.
