My husband and I are trying to get a second mortgage, we are currently renting the house and it will be going up for sale in the new year. My husband bought his first property an overpriced apartment in 2008 before we met, it's currently rented our to family members, he has not paid tax on the rental income, just wondering when trying to get a second mortgage will the lenders be looking for tax returns on this property and if so is there any way around it?
