Search fees to find owner of property

Does anyone know how much it costs to have a search done to ascertain the owner and their address of a property. I want to do this prior to an upcoming meeting of a management co. The properties are all rented and the Management company are far from cooperative. There would be about 20 properties involved and we are not sure what the situation is as whether they are bank owned or developer owned. It is one of those cases where relatives of a burst developer are running the Management Co and this is a first meeting after many years. We have not been getting the truth on other issues and just want to guard against doubtful proxy votes.

A member of a management company is entitled to a copy of the register of owners. You should be able to get it from your management agent or by sending a request directly to a director of the management company.

Also only fully paid members are entitled to vote at AGMs, if the bank or developer has not paid fees they are not entitled to vote in person or by proxy.

I am aware of that shesells but there is a major problem in extracting factual information from this management co. The whole thing is a total shambles and after over 5 years we are to have a meeting which may not achieve much. The ODCE office have powers in relation to this but by the time they would act it would be too late for our purpose. Thank you shesells

Hi Dermot,
Check out PRTB website, if the properties are rented out and the landlords have registered the details might be up there. Their lists are free so worth a try before you fork out cash.

Hi Dermot, it may be too late now for this info - but I wanted to do this last year. It is possible to get the owner's info through Land Registry - provided it has been sold & registered. If the info isn't there I think you could guess that the developer still owns those properties. Let me know if you want details of the company that did this search for me. The average cost was about €10 per property.
On the other issue - I think that since MUD was enacted it is no longer possible to stop members voting at AGMs regardless of whether their fees are up to date or not.
