There is a small gap around the bath, where the tiles on the wall meet the top of the bath. It is only about a millimetre.
I used bathroom sealant - I put a thick bead along the gap and ran my finger firmly over it to give a nice finish, also to ensure that the gap fills.
A few months later, the job looks very shabby.
There is mould starting to appear on the sealant.
There are cracks starting to appear in it.
It is starting to peel off in places.
As I ran my finger along the sealant after applying, some excess is peeling off the bath and the tiles, where curve of my finger has left a thin covering.
What is the best way of cleaning this off?
I used a tissue, but it started getting very messy and I lost the nice finish I had after running my finger along.
What is the best way of finishing this job?
I have seen in other bathrooms, a length of plastic, with a curved edge.
This seems to look good, but I was advised that they get clogged with dirt over time and that the sealant is the best way.
I am now not so sure.
Thanks
