Savings - advice needed

Sorry, not sure what happened to the rest of the text but my question was as follows.

I've around 35k sitting in my bank account at the moment and I want to know what is the best place for it? Either in a savings account or investment account. Would the likes of rabodirect.ie be the best place for it? I want to gain the best return on it over the next two years, I plan to use this money to build an extension onto our house in the next two years.

any advice would be great.

When you say 'investment account' what do you mean? Are you talking about unit linked funds offered by Rabo?

If you are fairly sure that you will be building an extension over the next 2 years, then I would say that you should have it on deposit. See here for a listing of current offers.
