Is Satellite Navigation for cars in Ireland working at the moment or are we still waiting for it to be introduced or "rolled out" as all new technology seems to be these days.
I may be buying a car from England with sat. nav. was told would have to wait until it was introduced in Ireland to use it or buy some type of disk for the different software.
Does anyone know anything about this??, any advice would be appreciated

Father in law is a taximan and has it. Tis very good. If youre a cabbie, you can get a free weeks trial. If youre not, Im sure if youre nice you can persuade them to let you try it.

Re: Thanks

Not sure if a UK GPS system will work in Ireland.

You'll probably need to purchase the Irish version of the software.

Purchasing Software

I was looking at the car I am going to buy today. There is a Satellite Navigation Box in the boot, it looks like a CD player and has a TOYOTA UK CD ROM in the Drive.
I was wondering has anyone bought the Irish CD ROM if it is available and how much did it cost.
Thanks again for all help,
Goll
