If it was me you saw...
I used silver sand, €4.99 from Homebase for 25kg.
However don't make the same mistake I made... Make sure the sand is completely dry before brushing it in. (You can get Kiln Dried sand at €5.99 but it is really the same thing and if it gets moist you've lost the benefit of the kiln (and use of your Euro))
