Make sure that you are signed up for the spouse's and children's pension by the way, this doesn't happen by default.
My employer does this by default too. And in this case there's no opting out of it, even if you are single and/or have no children.

I'm in the HSE. I'm pretty certain they do not have Salary Protection.
