May have the chance to get the car at a good price.

Any opinions for or aganest.

The car is 03 fully loaded with about 50k miles, not sure on the model yet.

Looking on the web about €25k wold be about average price.

My only problem would having to fill the tank twice as often as I do now with my diesel passat.

Anyone got one? Are they any use?

€25k for a 2nd hand car????? In the immortal words of Bill and Ted, "are you mental?"

But specifically with relation to this car. The car is expensive to maintain, though lovely to drive. If it's the turbo version, the turbos are quite likely to go after 4-5 years. This is a €3-5k replacement job. The lcd display on the dash will also disintegrate (visually) after same period of time also. The ecu in the car is enormously unreliable and can severly impact fuel efficiency if it goes wrong, and can only be fixed by replacing - also a repair job costing in the thousands.

Bear in mind that garages are offering €11-12k on trade-in for 01 versions of the same car, 75k mileage. . Just to show you how ridiculously expensive €25k is for a car 2 years older.

Saab are a great car....the 93 is prettier though (a matter of personal taste)

Thanks for the responses

Unreliable expensive, I actually prefer the look of the 95.

I would need to get it for about 17k then to be worthwhile then.

I looked at honest john and seems he slated them as well.
