My cousin has just ound out via a phone call that her job in Ryanir has been told that her telesales with with Ryanair is to go as O'Leary needs to implement some cost cutting.

She has been there approx. 6 years.. apparently only about 10 of them are permanent and the others are only temp staff.
Is she entitled to be accomadated with a position elsewhere within Ryanair ?
Hope he doesn't just give the poor staff the staurtory 2 weeks reundancy package as the company is not going under.
Unfortunately Not, if company is downsizing due to Financial pressure, they can lay off staff as they see fit, As she is not Unionised, I feel the best thing all laid off staff can do is to fight for a good redundancy package.
you've probably already gotten an answer to this, if not...according to article in todays Irish Times (p17), they will be paying statutory redundancy. Employees will be encouraged to apply for other posts in Ryanair, those who don't or aren't successful will be made redundant.
