Just wondering which Ros I should register,
Register for ROS - Self-Employed Individuals, Business and Practitioners or is there a PAYE I register under,

I have a house I rent out and I am a normal paye worker, which one should I register with, thanks
Also if nil tax is owed can this be done thought Ros.
100% of 2008 is nil as no profit made.

On the ROS homepage there an option to the left of the page for PAYE Employees to register.

You may be able to use PAYE Anytime which is the website designed for PAYE employees.

http://www.revenue.ie/en/online/paye-anytime.html

However,
"A small number of customers cannot claim a review using the PAYE anytime such as:

  • Individuals selected by Revenue to complete a Return of Income (Form 12)
  • Customers who are registered for Income Tax and also have income subject to PAYE" [extract from above linked Revenue page}
If you register with ROS under the "Self-Employed Individuals..." etc, you need to ensure you are registered for Income Tax and not just PAYE or you will not be able to submit any returns here.
