Having drafted the form for 2009 offline, I noted the levies are calculated on a different basis to those used by our employers & deducted from my wife & my salary ( all our income is paye / Sch E with tax deducted monthly as paid).
On closer examination, it seems the rates applied in the ROS form are "composite" rates ( eg 1.67% instead of 1% on income to end Apr & 2% on income paid in the rest of the year).
The levy rates used in the Ros form 11 2009 seem should only apply to the self employed, despite the fact that the form caters for paye income; the result in our case in an largish underpayment.
Is it possable there is an error in the ROS form 11 2009?
