apologies for bumping but have received quote of €350+vat for replacement of 2 roof tiles plus possibly a third and felt underneath. Does this sound about right.
Hi new08
Yeah that is very steep, i'd say from what you have described above its a maximum a days work and would cost about €200, contact me if you need more info/details

Sorry Sueellen I did not realise that offering information/details to the poster was classed as advertising particularly as no names or details of the business/contractor used were given in my post. As described in the posting guidelines - no information on items "for sale" nor "wanted" advertisements nor was there a description of an item given in my post. As I had very similar work done a couple of months ago, I simply relayed that the poster was being misled by the contractor involved and I though I could offer the poster some information/details on my experience if they contacted me rather than give the name of a roofer (as was originally requested) on the page, and hence advertise that roofer.
Hi
How high is the roof ?
Single storey, two storey or higher?
This will have a bearing on the price.
Ensure who ever you get ,carries out the work safely, you may be liable for injuries, ensure the person does have a valid safe pass card, ask to see it, even though it seems a small job, considering the curent weather etc, one could fall off if not competent, perhaps others will say I am too careful, however the last thing you need is an accident.

Hi Gwhizz, I'm sure you'll realise that a first time poster asking to be contacted can easily be interpreted as surrepticious advertising. We have had many cases of this in the past, so we can be a little wary these days.
The idea of a forum such as this is that people can share their knowledge and experience, so feel free to post your own experiences here so that others may benefit.
