Roaming mobile - Turkey

I am heading to Turkey for a week holliers at wknd
Have to take my Vodafone mobile with me as am self employed
Any ideas as to what to most economical way to take and make calls?

Probably by manually selecting the Vodaphone network as if you leave it on automatic it will hop from network to network.

Go to settings.......network settings.......select manual...... it will then give you a list of service providers and choose vodaphone.

Ask vodafone the name of their local network as it is not always called vodafone

Vodafone actually operates in Turkey aswell. The main operator is Turkcell, with Avea also present. Depending on where you're heading in Turkey and the available coverage will probably dictate what network you select. It's likely your phone will roam on the Turkcell network unless you want to change to anotehr network.

Perhaps as a Vodafone customer, roaming charges might be less for you when using your phone abroad on a Vodafone network? Does the Vodafone Passport deal offer anything ? Maybe worth contacting Vodafone to find out.
