I have a car that was crashed into by an insured 3rd party.
Their insurance company has written off my car and will be paying it's replacement value less a scrappage amount giving me the option of selling on the car myself or giving it over to scrappage. However having paid for 12 months of road tax only a couple of months ago is there any way of reclaiming the unused portion of road tax back from the council ?
