Rights of divorced partner

My partner/boyfriend is English, divorced and has 2 children living with their mother in the u.k. We have currently started living together in my home .He has nothing , no home, no money, zero. I dont know if we will work out or not but as I am the one who is financially secure and have worked long and hard to get what I have, I am afraid of the possibility of him being entitled to take half of what I have should we still be together in a couple of years but break up then. I do not intend to marry as I have a son myself and whatever I have I presumed would just go to him. Does anyone know what the situation is with live-ins and when they start to have rights. He has brought no money whatsoever into the relationship.
 
No rights for 'live-ins' at the moment, but it is currently being looked at and the law may well change. The only possibility of him having a claim on your home is if he contributes to the mortgage.
