Retrieving numbers from a SIM card

A friend's mobile phone got soaked by a freak wave on a beach. The phone died. She got a new phone and was told she could use the old SIM card. However, she cannot access any of the numbers on the SIM card, some of them very important numbers.
Neither of us know much about mobile phones apart from how to make a call.
Can anyone offer advice on how she might retrieve the missing information?

Unfortunately I reckon all of her numbers were probably saved in her old phone memory and not on the SIM card memory. This is why it is very important for anyone with a mobile to make sure they are saving their numbers to their SIM. It makes things much easier in the long run.

If you go to the new phones address book, scroll down the options to Copy

Then select ->From SIM card to phone option

Thank you both!

I'll pass on what you said and see how it goes.

Thanks again, I appreciate it. :)

Thats where I would expect to find a wave.

Lifes a Beach and then your phone dies

TP,

Freak waves occur out in the ocean as well, and along rocky shore lines.
