Replacement uPVC windows

Hi, I am considering replacing old timber windows in a typical 1970s throbbed semi. There are nine windows in total.

I have had a few quotes, but I am struggling to understand if i am comparing like with like.

They are all A rated, but is all PVC the same quality, and if not how do i ask what spec I am getting.

Any suggestions appreciated.
 
Check with multiple providers. You learn from each. And will be surprised by the price variation.
 
Are you wedded to the idea of replacing them with uPVC? We have both timber and uPVC windows (both relatively new) and tbh there is no comparison between the two. The timber frame windows are much superior in our view, both in terms of quality and look. It might be worth at least looking at the new timber frame options as well.
