Replacement of original fireplace

Hi,

We have an original fireplace we want to replace. There was a gas-fired fire/back boiler in the fireplace which we have had removed, so there is still a metal flue which we will need to get taken out.
It is quite a big fireplace/hearth but we would like to take the entire thing out and put in a modern one.
Am I right to assume we need to get a chimney man to remove the flue and sweep the chimney, then get the fireplace taken out, then get a new insert and hearth?
Also, any idea how much each of the various components should cost? (apart from the fireplace which is completely up to us...)

Cheers

Conor
