If that's the case and I've no reason to doubt you it is probably because those films have a proven track record of achieving good audience figures and RTE are trying to keep their advertisers happy.
Last night they showed Legally Blonde & next week they are showin Speilbergs AI.......so they do mix old & relatively new to be fair.
I thik BBC were showing Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade last night - again an oldie but a good one - so other networks are prone to doing it as well.....not just RTE
Yes but unfortunately with RTE we have to watch the repeat ads as well , which seem to be getting longer and longer - I thought that there was a legal maximum time in which ads are shown - now they seem to be longer and long......
