Renting house for under 6 months - Periodic tenancy

If renting a holiday house for less than 6 months, is it necessary to provide a lease?

If it is a period tenancy, are there any templates available online that cover everything?

If anyone has been through this, any advice would be welcome i.e what to ask or look for from potential tenants etc?

There is no longer any such thing as a "periodic tenancy" here. If you are renting out a holiday home for 6 months it would not be normal to include a lease.
