Rental Property Income Tax

Hi All,

I sent in my form12 (i think it was form 12) last October for the previous years rental income which i too in on a second property i own.

It was my first year renting the place and i did all the returns myself.

I was requested by revenue to send copy of all receipts for capital allowances etc, which i did.

I have not heard back from them since then, that was before Christmas.

Am i supposed to get a cert saying i am tax compliant?
Tried calling my local office yesterday and got no answer.

It's probably sitting on someones desk, or maybe the person who got it retired in january's exodus...!

Just ring again to follow up, quoting your PPSN. As it's a form 12, you could call the PAYE helpline, they should be able to see whose workflow your stuff is in and maybe speed things up.

You won't get a cert to say your tax compliant but you should get a balancing statement if you haven't already.

Will try go online and request the balancing statement see if that comes to me ok.

Did you get a balancing statement when they requested the receipts ? If you are on ROS you can request one online.
