Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anybody can help me on this problem. When we first moved into our rented accomodation 2 years ago we signed a contract that was for 6 months. Whenthe six months was up I asked the landlord if he wanted to sign another contract but he said he would not want to move back int the house anytime in the near future and he was happy with us as tenants so there was no need.
We decided to move out 2 weeks ago as my partner lost his job and we would not be able to pay the rent, we moved out of the house before the end of the month to give him time to bring people in and show them around to get a new tenant.
What I am wondering is, do the conditions in the original 6 month contract still apply?? Or are they void because it was only for 6 months and a new contract was not signed after that?
Also he is not a registered landlord, does this make a difference??
