Rent to Buy: How does it work? Just apartments? Opinions?

Hi, I'm curious about the whole rent to buy scheme thing and have recently being looking to see if it is an option that would work for me.

Can anyone who has done this let me know how you got on and if would recommend or not?

I think can only be done on apartments but not too sure so if anyone can advise on this would be grateful.

I haven't done this personally but there is a development in Balbriggan called Bremore Pastures under the rent to buy scheme which offers 2 and 3 bed houses so its not just apartments.

does anyone know of rent to buy scheme in cork i know there are a few in midleton alright but wat about cork city

approved for affordable housing since april waiting still does anyone know roughly how long the whole process takes

I was waiting a year and a half from the time I sent in my application to getting offered a house.

There is a Rent-to-Buy scheme in Carrigtwohill (Castlelake) - look up castlelake.ie, there is a rent to buy section in their website.

Has anyone purchased in any other schemes ?
