Rent tax credit

Hi all,

I am married and renting an apartment. My wife is unemployed at the moment, i am the online working person these days.

Can we apply for rent tax credit? We rented this property through an agency in January 2014. Is the agency going to get less money if we apply for this tax credit?

This credit is being phased out. If you began renting after 7th December 2010 you are not eligible for it.

Ok, i started renting from 2013 only.

Any other tax credit we are missing out?

On my online PAYE account i can see 2 tax credits. PAYE Tax Credit and Personal Tax Credit. Is this all for married couple without children?

I am working as a doctor with HSE since January 2014, can i apply for Flat Rate Expense?
