You can't be on jobseeker's allowance and sick certs (illness benefit) at the same time, which are you on? Do you have savings, or an income from anywhere else?

Are you sharing accommodation?

Are you living with anyone else, who has an income of their own?

What area of the country are you in, that may have a bearing on the amount of supplement you were entitled to.

Do you have to pay towards any of the bills i.e gas electric?

If you are renting a room in a house and bills are included then this could be the reason your payment is less than you expected it would be.

its illness benfit.no savings or income from any where else.
yes iam sharing accommodation with my landlord he has his an income of his own
i lve in mayo the max rent supplement is 70 in mayo.

i pay towards bills gas esb

I suppose the only way to really know is to phone or go into them and ask why you only got that amount.

Just thinking it could also be because rent allownace has been reduced all over the country. It could be that the changes in your area only came in this week and thats why you have been given less this week to what you were last week.

The reductions in rent supplement due to the budget haven't been implemented yet, they happen in June.

Your landlord's income doesn't affect your claim, so that's not the problem. As illness benefit is the minimum rate of payment (204.30), there shouldn't be any more than 18 euro deduction (which is what you expected). And your rent is below the limit for your area.

Might have been an error, check it with the CWO next Tuesday.
