Rent Supplement when working F/T

Hi

I am a single mum who still lives at home. I have been working part time for a government body and receive One Parent Family and have a medical card for my child and myself. I have been advised in work that I need to move to a full time position or lose my job.

I will have to accept the position as I cannot be unemployed however I am wondering if anyone knows how it might effect my benefits? I will be earning 24k and the creche will cost €1,050 a month. Other then that I have no maintenance or additional savings, investments. Is there any chance I will still qualify for rent supplement, as I really want to move out with my daughter.

If anyone has any ideas I would be most grateful

Thanks

If you work more than 30 hours per week, you will no longer qualify for Rent Supplement as you will be considered in full-time employment.

You may still be entitled to some or all of your One Parent Family Payment.
