Current year relief would be added to tax credits through a new cert & once employer gets this would be implemented on next pay day. That should be within a couple of weeks.
Back year relief on a paper claim could take 3-6 weeks depending on the volume of work at the relevant district.
If you ring the LoCall number on your tax credit certificate there's usually an automated message which gives an estimate of time for correspondence to be handled.
