Rent Relief

I've been renting a house with my wife since Feb 2008.
We did have a lease for the first year but since then we have nothing, just paying the rent each month with everyone happy. The landlord has no intention of selling or letting the house to anyone else.

We pay 1250 per month rent and have been since Feb 2008. I now want to claim rent relief but not sure how to do this.
Can I claim this through PAYE Anytime?
And do I need the landlords PPS number?
How much rent relief am I entitled to per year based on these figures?

It used to be €2000 max at 20% for single person, so €400 net. I think its been reduced now, plus marriage changes the amount.

You dont actually need PPS number from landlord either. You can back claim for 4 years and should get a cheque for those. You can use the Rent 1 form or use the PAYE anytime system.
