Rent instead of purchase.. new era !?

I am looking for peoples thoughts on what i feel will be the major consequence of the economic meltdown we are currently experiencing. I feel there will be a shift towards renting instead of purchasing. With mortgages increasingly difficult to get and rental yields falling by the day... is this the future for property in Ireland ??

No , it's a never ending cycle alternating between the two.

Property never goes up for ever , property never falls forever.
