how long is the waiting time to hear back about rent allowance, i got a letter back saying i wasn't entitled to it so wrote a letter of appeal and was just wondering if somebody knew how long you do be waiting to hear back??
 
Delays can vary from office to office. Perhaps you should contact the Appeal office where you sent your letter to enquire about your claim.
 
i got a letter back from the appeals office asking not to ring or contact them because there are so many people ringing up and delaying things..just wondering if anybody is in the same situation??
 
was also wondering if it was normal for the community welfare officer to come out on a house visit when you apply for a clothing grant??
 
A CWO may make a home visit in respect of any application, especially from new customers.
 
why do they have to make a house visit for a clothing grant...i put in for rent allowance and a clothing grant but i think she came out to the house to catch me out on something not sure what because im doing nothing wrong... im thinking it was about the rent allowance because she asked could she look around and wanted to know how many bedrooms there were...does this sound unusual to anybody or am i just being paranoid???
 
hi bbbles. I applied for RA in March and got refused in July. I lodged an immediate appeal in July and got the same letter as you. Got appeal descision on October 10th....
