I am considering renovating an existing 4 bed semi in the Navan area. We are considering a 2 story side extension.
There is an existing single story lean-to side extension. The roof will need removing. The gable wall of this will need to be demolished as the existing one isn't suitable to support a 2nd story.
Apart from this, it is a straight forward enough project. One or two studded walls will need to be moved on the existing interior. My architect is recommending I use a contractor and, can recommend a couple.
What can I expect a contractor to quote per square foot for this type of build, in today's climate.
Anyone out there make a case for direct labour, as an option.
