Renewing Commercial Office Lease

Hi,

Just a quick Q regarding the renewal of a lease on an office.
The current lease expires in June (it has been a long lease of over 15 years so automatic renewal rights) but my Q is, how and more importantly when do I go about claiming a new tenancy from the Landlord?

I have found the below but it's a bit confusing/vague;

The forms required are set out in Landlord and Tenant Regulations, 1980. This notice must be served before the end of the tenancy or within 3 months of the end. (The courts have discretion to extend these time limits in limited circumstances).

I suggest that you just contact the Landlord directly.

You are entitled to a long term lease at full market rent but you may not want that. Better to negotiate terms that benefit you both.

And it goes without saying, you must get legal representation. Solicitors know what is usual /unusual.
