VHI Renewal time

I have been in VHI for over 30 years. The comment on page 1 of the renewal papers says if there has been any material change in your health insurance needs you need to advise them. What does this mean? Say i developed a new illness in the past year I always assumed i would be covered.

I think it means if you need extra health cover(to upgrade cover) for whatever reason, you need to contact VHI to discuss options.
You could ask them directly what exactly is meant by this sentence. So much for the regulators instructions to use simple, plain language
thats easy to understand by customers.

If you developed a new illness in the past year, you would be covered as before according to the cover on your current plan, no waiting.
