Renewal of medical card

Hey

My renewal form for my medical card came and i have recently taken up part time employment. I earn €140 a week & i get on average €70 per week on top of that from social welfare for the days i don't work.

I was reading the eligibility for the card and it says for a single person living with family the income threshold is €164. As i earn €140 and the rest of my income comes from the social (& therefore puts my income over the max), would i still be entitled to the card?

If you were unemployed for 12 months or more, and take up part-time employment, you are entitled to retain your medical card for 3 years from the date that your income exceeded the guidelines.

If you take up full-time employment, the card is retained for 3 years from the date of commencing employment.
