Removing paint from external red brick on victorian house

The outside of our house, an old red brick victorian, has been painted over the years. Individual red and blue black bricks have been painted, plus some parts (both brick and cement) have been painted with thick gloss I think.

Could anyone recommend someone to restore the brick? Is this an expensive job or is it a job we could start ourselves? I just don't want to damage the bricks anymore than they already are!

Thanks

Hi jessie175,

I did a job for a lady who needed her walls stripped of paint she used Interclean to do it.

They use a paint and peel system (or did some years ago).

After they have peeled the paper off they spray the walls down with a power hose.

They did a very good job.
