Removing kitchen handles?

Hi,

I want to change the handles on my kitchen units but I can’t seem to get the handles off. They have a screw in the middle where the knob part goes on but at each end of the handle there is a screw/nail with an oval type head on it. Does anyone know how I can remove this?

use a pliers to hold the other end and twist the handle with the free hand

The knob part screws off no problem but it's either end I have a problem with. It looks like nails with a oval head but it hasn't come through to the other side/inside of the press so I have nothing to get a hold of.

you may have to use a hammer gently to remove it.
