Refund of 2009 tax in 2010

Hi Welfarite, you state that an newly unemployed person might be entitled to a tax refund. On the form it states to wait a minimum of 4 weeks before you apply for this and that it is in relation to tax deducted from your pay since the 1st of January. If I wait 4 weeks it will be in the new tax year 2010, will they still take into consideration a tax refund for 2009?

If you are applying after the year end - request a P21 for the year
