My accountant lodged our Income tax return , online for my self and Mrs kerak, on Monday 8th Oct, in the afternoon, there was a small refund due to us.
Thursday 11th Oct, we received two cheques , which added together were for the amount due.
That was good service...was it not possible for you to lodge returns yourself thereby saving, presumably, the fee that may have been charged by the Accountant

Some posters on various threads have made the point that accountants' fees will more often than not be justified by the tax savings that accrue from ensuring that deductions, allowances and credits are claimed correctly and in full.
The exact same thing happened to me this month, accounts submitted on a Thursday by my accountant and had cheque by Monday, and I live abroad. Cannot believe how fast those machines print and envelope and post cheques.
Didn't actually want the tax back as it was to pay towards next year, but revenue computers were too fast for my accountant. I'm going to lodge the cheque and then pay revenue though the system as sending the cheque back would only confuse them.
One of these days that computer is going to add on too many noughts and someone will do a runner.
