Hi all, I am new to this message board but looking for information about what to expect after being made redundant.

I am 41 years old and will be made redundant at the end of November. I own a small parcel of land which is rented out for aprox 7k per year. I have others savings of aprox 150k. I used to work in England before returning to my current job aprox 18 years ago.

I have 4 kids ranging in age from 1 through 15.

Does anybody know the following :

- what would I receive and for how long using my stamps
- would I be entitled to Family Income Support
- is my savings and redundancy taken into acount for any payments from Social Welfare
- all/any information would be a great help.

Thanks

1. You can claim Jobseeker's Benefit See www.welfare.ie for conditions
2. Family Income Supplement is only payable if you or you partner are working at least 19 hours a week adn total income is under a certain threshold. See www.welfare.ie also
3. Not for JB
